Dr. Nanja Strecker on "Space - the next big thing to invest in."
Managing Director of ESA BIC Switzerland
Nanja is an innovation expert by training and professional experience: she graduated from
the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as an industrial engineer and earned her
doctorate in Innovation Management in Graz. From 1998-2007, Nanja was a senior project
manager at Monitor, a strategic consulting firm founded by Michael Porter, from Harvard
University. For Monitor she worked primarily on innovation related topics, in various
industries and in 13 countries around the world. She subsequently took up a position as
head of the ‘Innovation Cells’ innovation unit at Constellium (formerly Alcan and Alusuisse),
a manufacturer of semi-finished aluminium products. In 2015 she took over as project
manager for the Innovation Park Zurich at ETH Zurich and is Managing Director of ESA BIC
Switzerland since 2016.
Since 2012 Nanja is also teaching “Corporate Strategy” at Master’s level at EPFL.

Startups: If you want to pitch, please submit your project here. If accepted to pitch, you will get two free tickets to attend. We encourage startups that fulfil our investment criteria to submit their business case. We offer this service and the pitching at one of our events free of charge to startups. For each SICTIC Investor Day, a jury will select the eight most promising startups for pitching at the event.

Important: In case you don’t express your interest to pitch at an event in your application form, we will assume you would rather just to want share your business case with SICTIC members and investors and will not include your project in the selection process.
Investor Registration
This event is intended primarily for angel investors (also novices). Family offices, fund managers and venture capitalists that want to invest in Swiss Startups are also welcome to attend.
