The fifth edition of the Swiss Fintech Investor Day was a showcase of Fintech startup success stories and trends and challenges of the Fintech industry from our speakers.

Anca Albu

Managing Director, Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC)

Anca has been active in the development of the global tech startup ecosystem since 2010. Before joining SICTIC , she was one of the first to join the core Startup Weekend team and support the company into becoming the biggest entrepreneurial education organization worldwide. Also, she had an instrumental role in growing and connecting the European entrepreneurial community with her own organization CEE Changers, and also connecting VC’s with tech startups from NYC to London and Amsterdam.


Anca aims to create social impact via entrepreneurship, and has collaborated with global organizations such as United States Agency for International Development and national governments to create and run programs that would lead to a more stable entrepreneurial ecosystem in developing countries.

Anca holds a BSc in International Economic Relations with a minor on Managerial Marketing.

Simon Ardiss

Business Angel, Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at International University of Managment in Monaco

Simon is an active Business Angel and a Corporate Governance evangeliser. After 20 years as an entrepreneur in the agribusiness world, he works today as a Non-Executive Director of different companies and is an adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship & Business Modelling at IUM university in Monaco. Simon earned an executive MBA from SDA Bocconi, and today he occasionally about start-up financing at Bocconi University.

He has recently published a book “27 counter intuitive aspects of Start-Up Investing” with the aim to help professionalise the eco-system. Married and with 3 children he is based in the Principality of Monaco.

Réginald Bien-Aimé

Entrepreneur | Innovation Catalyst | Corporate speaker & MC

Réginald (Reggie) Bien-Aimé wears a lot of hats. He’s an entrepreneur, community builder, consultant, innovation catalyst, and former Fuckup Nights Switzerland Founder and Host. He’s a sought after speaker and moderator, bringing a uniquely awesome energy to events ranging from intimate meetups to massive conferences.

His passion is to help and connect with anyone who shares an open and collaborative vision of innovation, the business world and life

Matthias Kribbel

Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, Tradeplus24 AG

Matthias is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Tradeplus24, a Zurich based FinTech providing receivables-backed lending to SMEs. Previously to that, Matthias has been working in Corporate Coverage and the Debt Capital Markets division at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Frankfurt, London and Zurich. He has studied at the University of St. Gallen.

Founded in 2016, Tradeplus24 offers a structured financing solution that provides much needed working capital to SMEs and Mid Cap companies. Backed by leading financial institutions such as Credit Suisse and SIX, the company serves businesses in Switzerland and Australia.

Christine Ciriani

CEO and Chief Commercial Officer, Finantix

Christine has successfully built and grown businesses in Europe and Asia, and has more than two decades of experience in wealth management, asset management, investment banking and international management consultancy. She has helped advise global banks and FinTechs from product and market expansion to operational efficiency and regulatory solutioning.

Prior to joining Finantix, Christine was Senior Partner and CEO Switzerland at Capco, a management consulting firm focused on financial markets, where she launched and led the global wealth and investment management practice. She was also part of the APAC Management team, with responsibility for launching Singapore and Thailand. Christine started her career at J. P. Morgan where she worked for both the investment and private bank in New York, London, Geneva and Hong Kong.

Dan Cobley

Managing Partner, Fintech, Blenheim Chalcot. Former Managing Director, Google UK and Ireland

Dan is an entrepreneur and investor in innovative tech startup businesses, focusing on financial services. He leads the FinTech portfolio for Blenheim Chalcot, a long-established London venture builder. Through this role he has co-founded a number of fast-growth fintech companies including; Salary Finance, Koodoo Mortgages, OpenWrks and ClearScore, and he is an investor / advisor to six of the FinTech 50 list of top European fintechs.

Until late 2014, Dan spent over 8 years at Google, as Managing Director UK & Ireland and as VP Marketing EMEA. Prior to Google Dan held senior marketing roles with Capital One, Ask Jeeves and Pepsi/Walkers.

Dan is an in-demand keynote speaker, has been a speaker at the TED Conference and appeared as a technology expert on BBC’s Tomorrow’s World.

Dr. Thomas Dübendorfer

Thomas Dübendorfer holds a Ph.D. and master in computer science with honours with distinction from ETH Zurich. He worked as a software engineer in Silicon Valley and seven years as Tech Lead on security and privacy projects at Google in Zürich, receiving three Google OC awards.


As president he shaped the Information Security Society Switzerland ISSS for five years, during which the number of members more than doubled to over a thousand. He is a lecturer at ETH Zürich and has co-founded several Internet technology based product centric startups in Switzerland, among them Spontacts (exit to Scout24 Group), Contovista (big data for finance) and Frontify (collaborative web design).

Ralph Mogicato

SICTIC Vice President

Ralph Mogicato has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Singapore. He is now an active investor, board member or advisor for startup companies in the technology field (e.g. Starmind, unblu, Contovista) and guest lecturer at several universities of applied sciences as well as a lecturer at the University of Zurich.

He is co-founder and used to be CEO at the Swiss consultancy Synpulse (formerly known as Solution Providers) with over 150 employees mainly focusing on banking and insurance. He has expertise in strategy building, defining business plans and cases, make-or-buy decisions, evaluation support of packaged software, quality assurance for large projects and composition of „greenfield units“.

Dr. Efi Pylarinou

Founder of Efi Pylarinou Advisory, Fintech & Blockchain influencer

Efi Pylarinou is an independent Fintech/Blockchain advisor with a Ph.D. in Finance. A seasoned Wall Street professional who ranks No.3 influencer in the finance sector and No.1 woman influencer, by Refinitiv Global Social Media 2019.

She is included in several other rankings like 2020 Onalytica Top 100 Fintech Influencers & 2019 Onalytica Top 100 Wealth Management Influencer list.

Efi is the co-founder & author of Daily Fintech with a strong social presence and a contributing author to several books.

Jan Schoch

Co-Founder & CEO of Anova Partners AG and Founder of Leonteq AG

Jan has 19 years of expierence in Fintech. He is the inventor and founder of Switzerland’s only listed Fintech Unicorn Leonteq AG. Jan holds a Master in Finance and Capital Markets from the University of St. Gallen. In past, he was awarded CEO of the year by Handelsblatt, and Entrepreneur of the Year and World Entrepreneur of the Year by EY. Since 2019, Jan is Founder and CEO at Anova Partners AG.

Claudio Schneider

Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the i.AM Innovation Lab

Claudio is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the i.AM Innovation Lab, a Zurich based innovation hub and venturing platform for the investment sector. Previously to that, Claudio was a Managing Partner with the FinTech Lend. He started his career in investment banking where he worked for UBS IB and Barclays Capital in London and Zurich.

Co-founded in 2018 by Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) the i.AM Innovation Lab is fully independent today and works with CSAM and other investment managers in the field of innovation and venturing.
