Zurich, 06.12.2021 The Investor community of the Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC) helped to fund to more than 160 Swiss tech startups to date. While doing so, they learned a lot about what to watch out for and how to foster success. Today, starting to invest as a private investor just became a lot easier with the FREE Swiss Angel Investor Handbook, which SICTIC has already distributed more than 4’000 printed copies of in its direct network, and which is finally also available to anyone. It’s available online as flipbook and downloadable e-book together with a document template collection for investors and founders.

A strong investor community makes startup investing easy

Thanks to its strong deal flow, SICTIC now has a diversified community of more than four hundred active private smart-money and institutional investors. The minimum investment amount per startup deal is CHF 20.000,- for private and CHF 200’000 for institutional investors. The most relevant startups with the highest potential are invited by SICTIC’s jury to pitch their business on stage to a large group of often more than one hundred investors on each of the more than ten SICTIC pitching events a year.  Should some investors not be able to join the investor community at pitching events in Zurich, Lausanne, Geneva or Lugano, they can also join such events via live streaming and ask questions online.

Angel investors learn from each other

What happens if you come across an interesting startup? No problem. At SICTIC, investors are assisted during the investment process, SICTIC even organizes the first due diligence meeting in due time after the pitch. Furthermore, aspiring investors learn from each other during the due diligence process. Best of all, investors work jointly on a startup deal and don’t charge for their time as all profit mutually from each other’s experience and contributions to closing the deal.
