The SICTIC Investor Day is a match making event where tech startups pitch to find experienced investors and supporters. The event language is English. Questions from the audience are also taken in French and German (and translated if necessary).

Michel Kertai

Founder and Startup Lawyer, EMBARK.LAW

Michel is a Registered Attorney in Switzerland and the USA (California). He started his career as a corporate lawyer in Bern, Switzerland. In 2015, he moved to California to study U.S. law and work with Silicon Valley startups. After returning to Switzerland in 2016, he founded EMBARK.LAW to focus on helping startups master their legal challenges.

Before becoming a startup lawyer, Michel was a professional athlete, playing volleyball and beach volleyball at a national level. His background in elite sports is one of the reasons he feels at home in the startup community with its adventurous, challenge-driven spirit.

Michèle Remund-Ludwig

Michèle is a registered Attorney and a Certified Tax Consultant. She started her career as a corporate and tax lawyer in Bern in 2010 after the bar and works since then with Kellerhals Carrard. In 2012 she moved to New York to study at the New York University and obtained an LL.M in Corporate Law in 2013.

Michèle’s practice focuses on M&A, corporate and tax law. She’s a member of the Startup Desk of Kellerhals Carrard and often advising start-ups with regard to employee participation and other tax related issues.

Startups: The application window for this event closed on February 7th, 2019. If you applied and will be accepted to pitch, you will get two free tickets to attend.

We encourage startups that fulfill our investment criteria to submit their business case. We offer this service and the pitching at one of our events free of charge to startups.

For each SICTIC Investor Day, a jury will select the eight most promising startups for pitching at the event.

Important: Please select an event location in the submission form.  In case you don’t choose an event location, we will assume you don’t want to pitch at an event but rather just to want share your business case with SICTIC members and investors, and will not include you in the selection process.

Investor Registration

This event is intended primarily for angel investors (also novices). Family offices, fund managers and venture capitalists that want to invest in Swiss Startups are also welcome to attend.
