Anca Albu

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Anca has been active in the development of the global tech startup ecosystem since 2010. Before joining SICTIC , she was one of the first to join the core Startup Weekend team and support the company into becoming the biggest entrepreneurial education organization worldwide. Also, she had an instrumental role in growing and connecting the European entrepreneurial community with her own organization CEE Changers, and also connecting VC’s with tech startups from NYC to London and Amsterdam.

Anca aims to create social impact via entrepreneurship, and has collaborated with global organizations such as United States Agency for International Development and national governments to create and run programs that would lead to a more stable entrepreneurial ecosystem in developing countries.

Anca holds a BSc in International Economic Relations with a minor on Managerial Marketing.

Tanya Fröhlich

Tanya is an executive with over 15 years of experience in investment banking and M&A with a  focus in technology companies. Before joining SICTIC, Tanya was  Director at Corum Group International, a global Tech M&A advisory firm, focusing on corporate strategy, business development, process implementation and sales & marketing.

She was also  Director at World Financial Symposium, an International organisation dedicated to the tech ecosystem. She directed over 150 annual, high-scale events with industry leaders in investment banking, venture capital and private equity. The events covered relevant topics for investors looking for the highest professional input on growth & exit strategies, whether through investment, buyout, IPO, sale and merger.

Tanya holds an MBA and is a prolific speaker at various tech events.

Nicole Bühler

Nicole holds a BSc in Business Administration with a Specialization in International Management from Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

She has multiple years’ experience in financial services, operations management, start-up and investor relations, and corporate event management.  In the past she has single-handedly organized and managed events including road-shows, business club events, entrepreneurial education, consulting workshops, sports sponsoring, and art exhibitions.

Jonathan Malatialy

Business Development Support Intern, French-speaking Switzerland

Jonathan is a financial analyst with a passion for data science, and brings with him an interest in new technologies and FinTech. His curiosity led him to program in Python. He is very passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation, and is particularly interested in the world of startups.

Born and raised in Lausanne, Switzerland, Jonathan acquired a BS in Management and a MS in Finance at HEC Lausanne, with an exchange in a private university in Lisbon on the way. He then gained experience in quantitative finance in Geneva at the CERN Pension Fund, then at Julius Baer in Zurich, where he also tested the Forex on a trading floor at BNP Paribas. He enjoys running, traveling and adventure.

Louis Portal

Head of Communications & Operations

Louis founded a Swiss startup in 2015 (exited in 2020), and has been involved with several ventures in many industries. Whether in fashion, fintech, electro-mobility, marketing or architecture, he gathered a substantial experience in operations management, which he now brings to the table at SICTIC.

Originally from France, Louis is a mechanical engineer with international education in Paris, New-York and Zurich, who also studied acting and has deep ties with the associative landscape in Zurich.
