Kate Ward
Senior Engineer and Manager at Google, Early Stage Angel Investor at Go Beyond
Kate Ward works as an engineer and manager with Google Switzerland, a company she has been with for more than eleven years. She is also an active business angel with Go Beyond Investing in Zürich, where she has participated in several investment deals, acted as deal lead, and driven multiple due diligence sessions. In the past, she worked as a software engineer for several startup companies, but never on the business side. Today, she pairs her passion for investing with her engineering background to support early-stage startups, and to increase her knowledge of the business side of companies, giving her a more rounded understanding of company development and lifecycle.
Efi Pylarinou
Co-founder of Daily Fintech & Independent Advisor
Efi Pylarinou is a seasoned Wall Street professional that has been included in the Women in Fintech powerlist by Innovate Finance, in Women in Fintech DACH social ranking and the Global Fintech 80. She is also an influencer with more than 100,000 LinkedIn followers and a domain focus on Digital Wealth Management & Capital Markets.
Efi holds a doctorate in Finance, is the author of Wiley Fixed income books with Frank Fabozzi and is included in the upcoming WealthTech book by Wiley.

Dr. Thomas Dübendorfer
Co-Founder and President of Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC)
Thomas Dübendorfer holds a Ph.D. and master in computer science with honours with distinction from ETH Zurich.
He worked as software engineer in Silicon Valley and seven years as Tech Lead on security and privacy projects at Google in Zürich, receiving three Google OC awards.
As president, he shaped the Information Security Society Switzerland ISSS for five years during which the number of members more than doubled to over a thousand. He is a lecturer at ETH Zürich and has co-founded several Internet technology based product centric startups in Switzerland, among them Spontacts (exit to Scout24 Group), Contovista (big data for finance) and Frontify (collaborative web design).
Pascal Forster
Serial Entrepreneur and Angel Investor
Pascal has more than 20 years of experience in recruiting CEOs, board members and senior executives for leading corporations and organizations. He has co-founded a number of commercial and nonprofit organizations, amongst which World.Minds in Zurich and XU Exponential University in Berlin.
From 2005 until 2017, he was Member of the Investment Committee of Vita Sammelstiftung, one of the largest Swiss institutional investors.
As an investor, Pascal is actively involved in a number of startups in the blockchain, crypto, neurotechnology, retail and education sectors.
He received a B.A. in social sciences and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and is an Alumni of Insead’s Master CCC Programme.
Dr. Thomas Frick
Partner, Niederer Kraft & Frey
Dr. Frick specializes in counselling banks and other financial institutions in regulatory, legal and compliance issues with a focus on providing business oriented solutions that help clients to achieve their goals and minimize their risks.
His practice includes regulatory and compliance issues, customer contracts, interbank contracts and syndicated finance, and supports co-operation of enterprises, in particular with respect to competition law issues, and regularly advises and publishes on issues related thereto.
Dr. Frick is member of the board of directors and of the audit committees of Swiss banks and of other prudentially supervised financial market participants. As an active investor, he also supports business start-ups with funds, legal and business advice, thereby merging legal expertise and practical business know how.
